BTS is a leading Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider based in Malta which has a portfolio of blue-chip clients coming from the industrial as well as automotive sectors. Current clients include amongst others: Mercedes-Benz, Bosch, Hetronic, Methode Electronics, Alfa Romeo, LandRover and Volvo.

BTS has positioned itself on the European market as a high quality, reliable manufacturer providing a best value for money solution when cost, flexibility and fast lead times are an issue but quality cannot be compromised.

We are based in a modern 2500sqm facility at Malta’s best industrial address, the Mosta Technopark. We assemble a mix of low to medium volume high complexity boards as well as high volume low complexity boards, currently shipping about 40k boards every week. Quality standards are maintained through well trained staff, and adoption of AOI, SPC as well as in-circuit testing or functional testing according to the requirements of the customer. Workmanship is to IPC 610 specification. All automated soldering is carried out in a nitrogen environment. Most products are lead free.

All of BTS’ production is exported out of Malta either directly or indirectly through our local client base of internationally owned companies.

BTS is a sister company to Dumps Electronic, a company with 25 years experience in this sector employing over 100 persons in Röhrnbach, a small town close to Munich in Bavaria.

BTS also provides supply chain management capability through its sister company sourcing PCBs and components from Europe and Asia in terms of client lead times and cost parameters, ensuring component availability and competitive pricing.

Since taking over the premises early in 2004, a substantial investment programme was implemented to upgrade the infrastructure of the factory to world class standards, offering excellent working conditions for the employees, as well as the latest technology plant & equipment.

To date, more than €2million have been invested in Malta, while currently 50 persons are employed. It is planned that the company will continue to expand in the future. Whereas many other companies on the island are “extended workbenches”, only carrying out production operations locally and delivering their products directly to the mother company, the concept for BTS has from the beginning, been that the company would gradually become a fully independent business entity with its own sales, marketing and purchasing operations.
