Inspection and Testing Capabilities Print

  • Incoming inspections at stores

Inspection of the quality of incoming raw materials is a crucial step in the minimization of production scrap. This includes the use of precise specifications, improved incoming test procedures and effective communication with all suppliers.

  • 100% SMD Inspections

→ by using magnifying lenses/high magnification microscope

During these inspections, the PCBs are inspected using magnifying lenses or a high magnification microscope (with rotating lens).  In this way a high quality and defect-free product is ensured.

→ or by using the Automatic Optical Inspection system (AOI)

At BTS, one of our main targets is to continuously strive to reduce the need for expensive rework and repair while increasing production throughput.  During the AOI process, the PCB is inspected for a variety of surface feature defects such as scratches and stains, open circuits, short circuits, proper solder joints as well as missing components, incorrect components, and incorrectly placed components.  In this way the AOI is used to detect problems at an early stage during the production process.

  • 100% PTH Inspection

→ by using inspection lenses

During these inspections, the PCBs are inspected using magnifying lenses or a high magnification microscope (with rotating lens).  In this way a high quality and defect-free product is ensured.

  • 100% Functional Testing/In Circuit Testing (according to customer requirements)

At the end of the production process, a functional test or an ICT can be performed according to customer requirements using our GenRad GR2276 ICT equipment.  This will further ensure a high quality and defect-free product.

  • Packaging inspection sample

A final sample is taken on all products to be shipped to ensure that a high quality and defect-free product reaches the customer.

  • Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Statistical Process Control or SPC is the application of statistical methods to the monitoring and control of a process to ensure that it operates at its full potential to produce conforming product.  This is a technique which is used extensively at BTS in order to make sure that our processes are producing a defect-free product.

  •  IPC Standards

BTS has adopted IPC-A-610 Class II and Class III as it's workmanship standard.   IPC is a U.S. based trade association that provides guidelines and standards for the design, manufacturing and acceptance of electronics and electromechanical assemblies.
